Description and History

1890 red terracotta, architect J. T. Wimperis & Arber. Plaque 'J. Bolding & Sons, Manufacturers of Sanitary Appliances, Brass Founders and Metal Merchants'.

Retail premises on ground floor, showroom on first floor, factory on top two floors.

The following copied here from the site description would appear to be spurious:
Criterion Restaurant, Piccadilly Circus, W1 (TQ 29586 80626). Built 1870-4, by Thomas Verity for Spiers & Pond, railway caterers. One of earliest buildings using ornamental tilework. Recently restored. Concert hall in basement became Criterion Theatre. - Andrew Turner - 30 December 2022
