Description and History

Long, skew spans across major road junction. Most southerly, with steel arches, built 1898 by Met. for exclusive use of GCR. Most northerly bridge, with steel trusses, opened 1914 as part of' four-tracking programme of Met. whose name is elegantly cast in fascia panels. Listed Between, 1879 cast-iron arches replaced 1977 by box girders
