Warren Moor Ironstone Mine

Description and History of Site:-
Warren Moor Ironstone Mine. Initially the Top Seam was worked the by drift mining in 1865 whilst shafts were sunk to locate the Main Seam. The mine never started production and the site was closed by 1874. Tall square brick chimney is still standing, nearby are two shafts with foundations for pumping equipment and winding engine. On private property but the NYMNP has arranged access by agreement with the landowner.
