Description and History of Site:-
Poultry Market was rebuilt as cross-shaped iron arcade by Sir Horace Jones, 1881. Decorative lettering and stonework adorn four glass, iron and stone entrances. Note rows of meat racks outside shops. Partially restored ca.1975. Now used for a variety of purposes e.g. shops, cafes.
