Description and History of Site:-
1932 by Cecil Masey, known as Spanish City because of its Moorish style interior and exterior by T Komisarjevsky. It became known as the Odeon in 1938 and remained a cinema until 1980.

Seating capacity: 1,536
Opened 5 September 1932 as the Avenue Theatre with The Honorable Mr. Wong and Lord Babs
Became the Odeon 1936, with seating later reduced to 1,100
Became the Coronet 15 November 1981
Closed 17 January 1985 with Terminator


Now Elim Pentecostal Church.
