Description and History of Site:-
Draw dock, barge piles, and arches for storing skiffs, further storage arches below Richmond Bridge.
Boat Houses, below St Helena Terrace, c.1835, one of three groups of boat houses along this stretch of river. Around turn of century some served as coal merchants' premises; but generally used for buildings and hiring of rowing boats, a substantial trade at Richmond until WWII.
