Description and History

Pumping Station of the London Hydraulic Power Co. (see Wapping). Built 1902, supplied power following year. Brick-built complex includes former engine house (originally housing triple expansion steam engines), accumulator tower, boiler chimney and workshops. Two cottages for employees situated in yard. Station converted to form Company's head offices.
