Ickornshaw Beck river stonary

Caption :- Lime kiln below Carr Head Hall.

This lime kiln, restored and Grade II-listed in 2004, converted limestone cobbles picked from the adjacent beck into lime. Its ornate design speaks of its gentry builders.
