Wool Warehouse, Horton Street, Halifax

Caption :- Built as a warehouse for Samuel Porter in 1870 and occupied by David Porter and Son, woolstaplers in 1874 and 1887. From 1894 the building became occupied by Joe Brearley for the purposes of boot and shoe manufacture. By 1936 the premises were occupied by Joseph Farrar & Son, a firm of house furnishers, followed by the Co-op and then by Double AA Upholstery who introduced furniture manufacture during the 1990s. A wine merchant now occupies the building. Photo. March 1998.
