Watlass Quarry - Bedale

The frontage of Watlass Quarry twin lime kiln during archaeological surveying and excavation in April 2007. The draw arches are visible, showing the central Romanesque-arch differing from the other two corbelled arches. Dense vegetation growth on the frontage and kiln top, and within the south bowl, is being cleared to reveal the kiln's full extent. (1m scale).
