Bailey Hall Mill - Halifax

Bailey Hall Flour Mill was erected in 1879 by the Halifax Flour Society. It was their third mill, and was designed by Halifax architect Richard Horsfall, the contractor being Richard Oates, both of whom were also responsible for a number of local textile mills. The site had previously been occupied by an earlier mill, used by Messrs. W. Hatton & Co. for worsted spinning, and Bailey Hall Dyeworks operated by Thomas Crossley and Sons, owners of the nearby Albion Mill (WYK771). Navigation Road view, October 1979.

Date 13 October 1979
