Universal Metallic Packing Co produced the originals c1919 and still held the drawings in the archives at Hoerbiger, Edderthorpe Street, Bradford and were able to produce new babbitt metal rings using the serial number from the engines packing housing. Hoerbiger were closed down about six months after producing these.
