Coke Monument

Caption :- Coke Monument, Holkham Hall, Norfolk

This relief of the signing of the lease was based on an occasion in 1836. Coke is seated to the right of the table with one of his tenant farmers, Hudson and his son and other tenants to the left and to the right Coke's son (2nd earl) and estate managers, including Francis Blaikie, Coke's outstanding agent and farm manager. This is a tribute to Coke's good relationship with his tenants, none of whom had a bad word to say against him.
