Ribblehead Station

Caption :- At Ribblehead station. These wheels once belonged to a contractor's wagon used for the construction of the Settle to Carlisle line. They were unearthed at Dent Head during clear-up operations following a coal train derailment in July 1998. They were kindly donated to the Trust by Railtrack and their removal to Ribblehead was facilitated by the late Dr Robin Goodman in September 2001.
