Bracey Bridge Mill

Description and History of Site:-
Constructed in small bricks except for the left hand bay (wheel chamber) added in larger bricks. Original section in classical proportions. Huge dam, two working floors plus two for storage. Third floor has small square louvred openings. (Hatcher, 1973).

Listing is the Mill Cottage only Said to have been rebuilt in 1806. Also known as Bracey Bridge Mill. Had a breast-shot wheel; water supply taken from the River Lowthorpe.
The mill cottage is listed grade II. In the listing (1083344), dated 25th January 1985, the mill itself is described as 'in ruins'.
