Downholme Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
Also known as Marske Bridge. A narrow bridge of three uneven arches over the River Swale. Triangular cutwaters. Very plain structure plain under arches and flush voussoirs. Coursed rubble, rather high walls/parapets above arches. Rebuilt in 1773 to the design of John Carr.
