Lownathwaite Mill

Description and History of Site:-
No visible remains Believed built for Lord Pomfret around 1769. Probably used to smelt ore from the Lownathwaite, Blakethwaite, Lane End and (possibly) Swinnergill mines. Replaced by Blakethwaite Mill sometime after 1824.
