Description and History of Site:-
Opened in 2000. This six-lane dual carriageway carries the A13 trunk road over the Ford Dagenham Estate.

The design comprising 1,031 parallel box girders, pre-cast off site, has no internal expansion joints, instead the girders have been stitched and epoxy glued together to form a single unit, 1,725 metres long in 30 spans making it the longest single concrete structure in the UK.

Awarded a 2000/2001 Certificate of excellence for Outstanding Structures by the Concrete Society.
