Description and History of Site:-
Former Patent Office and Library used until 1999 when stock transferred to British Library at St Pancras. Built 1899-1902 to design of Sir John Taylor. Grand Library 140 ft long of 3 storeys of open construction on steel framed original cast iron shelving etc. Now library for LSE.
