Description and History of Site :-
A listed K2 Telephone Box on the north side of Green Road, to the West of St James Church, as indicated in the HE official designation. This model dates from 1927, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, in cast iron, with glazing bars to windows and door, a domed roof and perforated crowns at high level for ventilation.
Decommissioned from practical use, this telephone box remains permanently protected in place as a Grade II listed structure (originally listed on February 3, 1987 under Historic England List Entry 1065753).
