Description and History of Site:-
1847 Iron railway bridge taking GWR over the Uxbridge Rd replaced earlier stone bridge. Bridge widened in 1870s when the railway line was quadrupled.

Locally listed:

'1837, redesigned by I K Brunel in 1847-48 using wrought iron girders. A complex structure arranged in three spans over the main road and footways, with brick abutment walls and intermediate lines of columns to either side of the road. It bridged the
space between the columns using heavy cast iron longitudinal girders.'
