Norwood Junction Station goods shed

Description and History of Site:-
Former LBSCR goods shed thought to be slightly younger than the associated Norwood Junction Station at South Norwood. It is immediately south of the station (qv), on the west side of the line - a three-road two-storey yellow brick goods shed of six bays now (2003) in alternative (undetermined) use.

The shed was authorised by the LBSCR Board on 17 October 1865 with two lines each able to handle four wagons - built by 16 August 1867 when authority was given to alter the hatchway and provide a crane for the handling of large items of furniture so that the Company's Estate Agent could let the upper floor for £50 p.a. The additional work was completed by ? 1869.

The interior was gutted during the 1980s for alternative uses, the original cranes etc being removed.
