Description and History of Site:-
Two storeys, opened in 1924 as Claremont Coach Station. The curved sides and small forecourt make it more noticeable. Only for single-deckers.
Kelly's Directory for 1961 lists a haulage contractor and a machine tool merchant. A vehicle ramp on the east, Claremont Square, side, much too steep for vehicles carrying passengers, leads to the upper floor, which presumably had maintenance facilities.
