Description and History of Site:-
There were two engine houses at this site - one contained electric pumping equipment and a diesel standby, the other a 1910 Hathorn-Davey marine type triple expansion steam engine adapted for pumping with three underfloor force pumps.

Following decommissioning in 1964 the Anglian Water Authority donated the engine - one of the smallest waterworks triples to survive - to the London Museum of Water & Steam at Kew Bridge, where it can still be seen today.
