Description and History of Site:-
Cast-iron bridge, the second cast-iron arch bridge designed by William Cubitt after Brent Eleigh Bridge (qv).

Cast by Ransome and Son, dated 1813 on centre span. The three semi-elliptical arched spans are 3m (11ft), 4m (13ft 6in) and 3m (11ft).

Carries a minor road over the river Stour.

An early example, being erected only 34 years after the first cast-iron bridge to be built (Coalbrookdale 1779).
