'Gazeley Mill was built in 1837 and originally had 4 patent sails which drove 5 pairs of millstones. The mill ceased work in the 1920s and was then stripped of machinery and converted into a residential dwelling in 1947. The present owners purchased the Windmill in 1987 and have since carried out an extensive programme of alteration and refurbishment which includes 2 storey additions to the northern and southern elevations.'
