Description and History of Site:-
This site was once owned by a succession of builders, including Lot Jackaman who built the Corn Exchange (qv).
Jackaman created this ornate entrance using original mouldings for the Corn Exchange, c1861.
One shows a man with a plough and farm animals and the other a woman with sheaves of corn.
