Description and History of Site:-
Nothing is to be seen now but the site had a Hoffmann kiln firing bricks from clay dug in an adjacent pit. The chimney was detached from the kiln at one end.
It was operated, variously, by the Churwell Brick Co.; A. Rodgers, Churwell Brickworks Ltd; and the Fitton Brothers.
