Square Church - Halifax

Square Chapel, Square Road, Halifax subsequent to the destruction of its nave by fire. The building was the site of pioneering experiments in long distance telephone transmission carried out by Louis John Crossley in 1879. The spire has since been incorporated into the new Calderdale Central Library. The picture was taken in 1976.
