Two warehouses erected for Robert Hartley, woolstapler, in 1869 to the designs of Roger Ives, architect. Robert Hartley & Co. occupied the premises in 1874, but by 1887 it was being used by T. Wayman & Co., also woolstaplers. Wayman had acquired the adjacent property at number 27 Horton Street prior to 1878. The twentieth century saw the premises occupied by a variety of businesses, and in 2017/8
