Seedlings Mount Brewery malthouse, erected 1892, and viewed from Burdock Way flyover during the course of demolition. The external walls carried a conspicuous illuminated sign depicting the company name, Whitaker's Brewery and their logo Cock O' the North Ales along with a giant cockerel trade mark. The brewery was acquired by Whitbread in 1968 and brewing ceased the following year. Photo. April 1
