Abbott's Carpet Factory - Halifax

Early nineteenth century carpet factory established by Robert Abbott, the site originally comprised a house standing alongside Thomas Street flanked by two buildings used for carpet manufacture, all of three storeys. Between the buildings and Union Street was a garden for the proprietor. Later houses in Horton Street provided access to Abbott's Yard via an archway. Photo. February 1974.
